We are seeking a highly motivated, competent O&P graduate in the role of Clinical Orthotist to join our small team in Invercargill. This role will be permanent part-time with the view of extending to full-time as demand develops.

Reporting to the Centre Manager, The Clinical Orthotist will be responsible for, helping to foster open and positive patient-focussed working relationships with all key stakeholders both internally and externally, the clinical assessment and fitting of orthoses, a focus on positive patient outcomes and building lasting relationships with allied health professionals to support and drive the growth of the OCL business.

Our ideal candidate would preferably have training and internship or placement experience with:

  • Acute needs
  • Diabetic treatment
  • Paediatrics
  • Spinal
  • Neuro

In addition to clinical experience, the successful candidate will desirably have:

  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • An eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure
  • A flexible and proactive attitude

Clinical Operations Manager

Based in Auckland, New Zealand

Established in 1991 and with 7 Centres throughout NZ, Orthotic Centre New Zealand Limited (OCL) is the largest Orthotic Services provider in Australasia, managing in excess of 50,000 patient visits per annum

OCL works with various health professionals to deliver services to public health, private and ACC clients. With a customer base that includes hospitals, private clinics, sports injury providers, physiotherapists, podiatrists, Orthopaedic consultants and other Specialists, OCL supplies clinical, product and manufacturing solutions in a vertically integrated model.

We seek a dynamic and results driven Clinical Operations Manager to join our small Senior Management Team reporting to the CEO.

The role will have complete responsibility for both personnel and financial performance of the clinical team. There will be significant focus and involvement in the ongoing professional development of clinicians and seeking opportunities for growth.

Following a patient centric approach the Clinical Operations Manager will facilitate and co-ordinate across a number of key activities including the development of clinical networks, planned training and education, clinical protocols, recruitment, appraisals, customer reporting, evidence based outcomes and patient satisfaction and communication.

While a Healthcare background is desirable it is not a pre-requisite for accepting applications. The key attributes we seek include:

Reporting to the Clinical Co-ordinator, the Clinical Orthotist will be responsible for, helping to foster open and positive patient-focussed working relationships with all key stakeholders both internally and externally, the clinical assessment and fitting of orthoses, a focus on positive patient outcomes and building lasting relationships with allied health professionals to support and drive the growth of the OCL business.

Day to day activities will be varied and include hospital based clinical services and/or in-house clinical services at our central Auckland location.

Our ideal candidate would preferably have a minimum of 1-2 years post-graduate clinical experience in providing Orthotic services including:

  • Acute needs
  • Diabetic treatment
  • Paediatrics
  • Spinal
  • Neuro

In addition to clinical experience, the successful candidate will desirably have:

Clinical Orthotist ACC / Private

Based in Auckland, New Zealand

Due to growth within our recently established private and ACC clinic under the brand ‘Orthotic Active’, we seek a highly proficient and competent clinical orthotist

Reporting to the Senior Clinical Orthotist, the Clinical Orthotist ACC/Private will be responsible for, ongoing development of the Orthotic Active service model, fostering networks and relationships with key referrers, providing best practice patient-focussed treatments and orthotic solutions, continuing a positive working relationship with ACC case managers, assisting in the point of sale and retail solution.

Our ideal candidate would preferably have a minimum of 4-7 years post-graduate clinical experience, and be well rounded in providing Orthotic services to most treatment types and pathways.

Clinical Orthotist

Based in Christchurch, New Zealand

We are seeking a highly motivated and competent Clinical Orthotist to join and be an integral part of our Christchurch team. This role may also be expanded to providing Orthotic services into Wellington and inter-regionally.

Reporting to the Centre Manager, the successful candidate should demonstrate an ability to work well as an individual and also part of a team including the wider multi-disciplinary team. As an Orthotist you will be responsible for your own workload including rectifying your own casts. Manufacturing is done onsite in our fully staffed and equipped workshop.

The successful candidate will join a team of 3 Orthotists, providing in and outpatient services to a range of patients, covering paediatric, trauma and orthopaedic, complex neuromuscular and diabetic clinics. Our ideal candidate would preferably have a minimum of 1-2 years post-graduate clinical experience.
